Res release, CD cover

Aha, finally a Res CD cover!

A month or so ago there was a great pic on the photo forums of Overclockers Australia (an internet community with 85,000 member). I really liked one and asked the photographer if I could make a CD cover out of it. He was mad for it. I did a few different versions and sent them to overseas buddies for vibe. Eventually I ended up with this final version. Initially it will be released on a San Francisco label. Internationally they will only do online distro. So that means iTunes, AOL music, MSN...
it's a start.

The photographer goes by the tag of 'taiwanboi'. Check out his gallery online. You can see the original photo there.

NEWS JUST IN! Overclockers Australia were impressed and put the CD cover on the front page. Cool

Feb 2007 - The WAMi's

We are so underground!

Once again The Resonance were nominated for another major music award, YEAH! ..and didn't win it. Last time it was The Music oz Awards in Sydney- Best dance act. This time it's the West Australian Music Award (WAMi's) - best live electronic act - we lost to Pendulum (respect, their great). Bec was saying if we actually win something then we won't be underground anymore. So far, so good. ;-)

The Res remix of Buenos Aires musician Pablo Gimanez is sounding well jazzy. Check Trilby's blog for more info. Still about a month away till it's all done though. Stay tuned..

The Res will be producing Halogen's new album. It's going to be a LoFi Trip-Hop experience with Jaz's defined vocals mixed with the bands valvey guitar tones and Trilby's production. More info as it comes to hand. Exciting stuff.

Balvinder Singh and Trilby are collabortating on some dub. They will be incorporating some vocals soon. It's deep massive stuff.

Trilby is also doing some production work with ambient artists Nada Loka.
